Graphic Design Intern

The Gearbox Entertainment Company is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join its Communications team and help support our products and growing community of fans.  




  • Designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
  • Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
  • Ensure all assets created reach required quality level and are in coherence with the artistic direction and visual identity of each video game title.
  • Work closely with supervisor to ensure social assets are consistent with each IP and event.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Assist with management of creative filing systems
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and/or planning meetings with Communications Team and Creative Supervisor
  • Revise existing material to bring up to current design standards and updated relevant information


Education and Experience:


  • Currently enrolled and pursuing BFA in Graphic Design
  • Presently enrolled at an accredited college or university and approved by your school to receive internship credit
  • Previous design working experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong portfolio that showcases ambitious design and marketing
  • Demonstrated understanding and proven aptitude for design principles, information architecture, typography and layout
  • Proficient knowledge and skill in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to work methodically, meet deadlines, work independently as well as collaboratively
