Influencer Manager

The Influencer Manager is an essential part of the Gearbox Publishing team, the creative group within Gearbox Software that effectively serves as its internal creative agency. This is a highly visible role both internally and externally, and one in which naturally personable outgoing types will thrive. A successful Influencer Manager is a creative thinker with a proven track record of working with gaming influencers, as well as lifestyle and celebrity influencers across YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Community and Influencer Marketing, you will serve as a primary global strategist and project manager for influencer marketing campaigns, setting measurable objectives, creating strategies, driving tactical execution, and measuring ROI in service of go-to-market campaigns for Gearbox Software’s wide portfolio of first party and published properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop influencer strategies across several industries, verticals, and brand programs
  • Recommend the optimal influencer approach relevant to our internal needs or client objectives
  • Regularly identify and vet new and up-and-coming influencers for current and future programs
  • Create meaningful relationships with online influencers to deliver above and beyond content and engagement
  • Sever as a liaison between client teams and influencers to deliver mutually beneficial results
  • Negotiate influencer contracts, with guidance from legal and leadership to deliver solid ROI for clients
  • Manage off- and online influencer engagements including experiential and influencer events
  • Ensure all influencer engagements, both paid and organic, meet internal and client FTC guidelines
  • Serve as an ambassador of Gearbox Software’s influencer capabilities as it relates to organic and new business opportunities
  • Advise clients on and execute paid social media campaigns
  • Serve as expert in integrated digital programs across, paid, owned and earned media in social campaigns
  • Cultivate a culture of support, growth and partnership among team
  • Foster and maintain productive and influential client relationships
  • Identify solutions and work with teams and independently to drive client success and grow relationships
  • Serve as culture builder and mentor, driving innovation and ideas while sparking team members’ careers
  • Collaborate with Social Media Manager colleagues as needed to provide compelling influencer-led content that will engage fans across owned social media channels
  • Have a willingness to complete any other reasonable activity required by your Senior Manager or the Communications team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in marketing, communications or related field with 2-4 years’ experience at a digital, advertising, media or PR agency
  • A deep understanding of social media and digital marketing, specifically influencer strategy
  • Experience working with and managing digital Influencers on behalf of brands, social platforms, MCNs, or creative agencies
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly, professionally, and persuasively at an individual and group level
  • Must be extremely organized and capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating and executing paid social and digital campaigns across social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
  • Must be a skilled, creative, confident presenter and negotiator
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply critical and strategic thinking
  • Expertise in Word, Excel, Google Suite of tools, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel on occasion for client meetings, events, trade shows and conferences
